For my first year out of undergrad or “freshman year of life” - as my friends and I colloquialized it -  I was an “Associate Consultant” at a large data/tech consulting firm. I generally associate this season of my career with intense personal growth, great professional relationships and valuable client-facing experience. However, there were many everyday processes that seemed innate to “consulting” - not just native to my firm at the time, that felt antiquated and desperately in need of change.  

Between high billing fees, unpredictable working hours and (most often) the literal forbiddance of financial investment into client work, there are a lot of things that could be better. 

Enter MetricsDAO: the future of data-driven problem solving. 

The most successful web3 projects going forward in 2022 and beyond are those that will build bridges to the mainstream, expand our reach, and execute to solve problems and improve processes that our community has yet to address. When the idea of producing content for MetricsDAO was proposed to me by a friend a few weeks ago, I initially met the “opportunity” with skepticism. For anyone trying to keep up with the latest in defi/crypto/web3, it’s nearly impossible to discern - in any reasonable amount of time - the legitimacy of projects in a world of shitposts, rug pulls and unbridled anonymity.

However, upon further review and research into the project, I opted to join because I believe that MetricsDAO’s bounty/reward structure for solution generation is the future of data-driven consulting. 

The mission of MetricsDAO is to empower individuals from all backgrounds to solve pressing problems using on-chain data, while also further building an ever-growing web of interconnected partner DAOs. By providing rewards in the form of Partner Tokens (read the whitepaper to learn more!), analysts are immediately given a financial stake in the future success of the DAOs for which they generate solutions.

To provide the consulting analogy: imagine working for a data-driven consultancy focused on high-growth / startup clients and getting compensated in equity that vests on your own timeline with unlimited upside. It’s a no-brainer. 

This mission not only builds a bridge for non-crypto native data experts to join (and further expand) our community, but also incentivizes reciprocity, investment and accountability across an ecosystem of partner organizations. So, what’s next?

In the near future, we plan to expand our reach and grow our community by recruiting more mentors and also talented analysts who may be interested in learning relevant skills, but may not be able to find proper guidance/resources. 

We also plan to launch a $METRIC token, rewards and vesting contracts for our members. 

We will identify additional full-time positions within the DAO (check out our open roles here) and expand our current grants team to manage existing and net-new DAO relationships. A key objective for us is to help other organizations replicate processes within MetricsDAO across their organizational networks to foster a culture of mentorship and community.
